Games built around meaningful progress

Free Minds Publishing is an independent publishing identity based in Daet, Camarines Norte. We create and share simulation games that give players room to work, explore, make decisions, and gradually build a life or business of their own.

What we make

Our projects begin with a practical question: what kind of work would be satisfying to understand and grow over time? That question has led to games about forestry, farming, freight, vehicle restoration, fishing, emergency management, and everyday life. The subject changes, but the heart of the experience remains the same. Players begin with limited tools, learn how a system works, and create progress through their own choices.

Free Minds Arcade provides smaller browser editions that can be played without a large download. These games let us explore an idea, learn what players enjoy, and make the project available on phones and computers. Every Arcade browser game is now free to play.

The Northwood Universe

The Northwood Universe is our connected simulation setting. Its fictional Cascade State contains forests, farms, towns, roads, workshops, and public services that depend on one another. Timber can supply construction. Farms feed communities. Freight companies keep goods moving. Fire crews protect the land and the people who work there.

Each Northwood title is designed to stand on its own, but the shared setting gives every job a wider purpose. We want players to feel that the company or property they build belongs to a living place rather than an isolated menu.

Our development approach

We build in small, testable stages. A clear first version matters more than a long list of unfinished promises. Browser arcades help us test controls, progression, pacing, and device compatibility. Larger projects then have a stronger foundation because the central idea has already been placed in players' hands.

Feedback is part of that process. Testers help us find unclear instructions, controls that do not work well on a particular phone, and places where progression is too slow or too fast. We use those reports to improve the experience before a wider release.

Respect for players

We value understandable pricing, clear game descriptions, and progress that respects a player's time. Educational apps published under our policy remain free, including later updates and expansions, with optional support rather than required payment. Arcade pricing and renewal terms are shown before checkout, and free games are clearly marked.

Free Minds Publishing is still growing. We do not present ourselves as a large studio or promise that every planned title is already complete. Development status is stated plainly, and the journal records what we are learning as projects move forward.
